Microsoft Corp. said it has struck a deal to make 35 Disney movies available to rent on its online video game service.

The movies will be offered in high-definition and will be available to subscribers of Microsoft’s Xbox Live, Microsoft said. The system will allow users, starting today, to rent films on demand as they become available from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Miramax Films and Hollywood Pictures. The service will also offer older movies.

The download service already offers 192 movies from Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. and New Line Cinema.

The downloads will be priced at $6 for high-def and $4 for standard definition new releases while older titles will go for less.
