Image Entertainment Inc. said Tuesday that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with NBC Universal Television Distribution to release 14 movies produced for the Sci Fi Channel’s Saturday night movie franchise.

The Sci Fi Channel is one of the biggest commissioners of original movies in the United States, the Chatsworth-based DVD distributor said in a statement.

Among the films to be distributed are “Terminal Invasion,” “Manticore” and others. The releases will be enhanced by ancillary features, with the titles also available for download.

Shares in Image were up 2 cents to $3.52 in midday trading Tuesday..
