Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced two new contracts and one contract extension Tuesday.

The Pasadena engineering firm received a contract from Canadian Natural Resources Ltd. to build a naphtha hydrotreater for extraction of petroleum from sand in Canadian Natural’s Horizon Oil Sand Project north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The second contract is for an expansion of a wastewater treatment plant in the City of Bakersfield. The three-year project has a value of $140 million.

The contract extension adds three years to a deal with Boise, Idaho.-based Boise Paper to build a new paper mill in DeRidder, La. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Shares of Jacobs were down 53 cents to $77 in midday trading.
