American Reprographics Co. appointed current Chief Operating Officer and President K. “Suri” Suriyakumar as chief executive officer effective June 1.

The Glendale-based company announced in November that current CEO S. “Mohan” Chandramohan would be stepping down. He will remain chairman of the company’s board and remains the company’s largest individual shareholder.

Shares in American Reprographics were up 47 cents, or 1.4 percent, to $33.68 Monday in trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
