MySpace to Offer News Feed

MySpace.com said Thursday that it is going to add a news feature to its popular networking site that will allow its users to decide what news is most important and should be displayed.

Under MySpace News, which is still in the beta version, users will be given feeds of articles from both news sites and blogs that will be broken down by main categories, such as sports, fashion and technology, and will vote on what is the most important. MySpace added that users will also be able to rate the articles, making them appear higher in the feeds, like news sorting site Digg.com.

The service if offered by Newroo, which was purchased by the Beverly Hills-based company’s parent, Fox Interactive Media, last year.
