Keystone Automotive Industries Inc. posted record profits and revenues in the second quarter, bolstered by increased sales in what is a traditionally slow season.

The Pomona company reported net income of $3.4 million (21 cents per share), up 34 percent from $2.9 million (18 cents) for the same period a year earlier. Sales were up 15.5 percent to $161 million.

The strong quarter saw a boost in aftermarket body part sales of 20 percent. The company said the results were hurt slightly by $1.3 million in legal fees paid for litigation with Ford Motor Co. in a patent infringement case.

Shares in Keystone were up 10 cents to $42.01 in early trading Thursday.
