Russ Solomon isn’t ready to let the music fade.


The founder of Tower Records says he’s “busy as hell” finding investors and putting together a small, one- or two-store retail music business following last week’s sale of the legendary retailer to a liquidator, the Sacramento Bee reports.


“You can’t let it die,” said the man who founded Tower 46 years ago in the back of his father’s Sacramento drugstore and built it into an international symbol of cool.


Solomon, 81, said he has a name for his new venture — Resurrection Records — but is still working on securing financing.
