Raytheon Co. will close its civil space operation near Santa Barbara by early 2008 and transfer the work to El Segundo, the company said Thursday, the Daily Breeze reports.
Santa Barbara Remote Sensing, a Goleta business that makes sensors used in satellites and other space-bound vehicles, is a division of El Segundo-based Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems.
