Computer Sciences Corp., Lockheed Martin Corp., CACI International Inc. and Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. were among companies that won a 10-year U.S. Army contract for communications and electronics support, valued at about $19.25 billion.

The companies will compete for the work during the life of the contract along with three other small businesses that won prime contracts Sensor Technologies, USfalcon and Viatech supporting an Army communications program that is based at Fort Monmouth, N.J.

The companies will provide computer-based reconnaissance, communications and intelligence-gathering equipment and software. They will also support research and technology development, design, demonstration, production, fielding and maintenance for software and systems.

Equipment and services contracted under the program will be available to all organizations under the Department of Defense.
