– Northrop Grumman Corp.

said it will shutter its computer reseller business, cutting 365 jobs in the process. The business, which sells technology equipment to government agencies, is based in Greenbelt, Md. About 300 of the unit’s 365 employees work at the Greenbelt location. Northrop announced its decision to exit the computer reseller business on Jan. 24. The company’s financial guidance provided at that time will not be affected by this announcement, Northrop said in a statement. The L.A.-based defense contractor had considered selling the unit, but was unsatisfied with the offers it received.



– THQ Inc.

said it acquired Juice Games Ltd., the British developer of the “Juiced” street racing video game THQ publishes. Under the terms of the deal, THQ purchased the entire share capital of Juice Games. Specific financial terms were not disclosed. Colin Bell, formerly Juice’s managing director, will assume the role of general manager. The purchase represents the Agoura Hills-based company’s first acquisition of a development studio based in Europe. The “Juiced” franchise has shipped over 1.5 million units so far, THQ said in a statement.



– National Lampoon Inc.

announced it has set up its first studio to develop comedy material for all of the L.A.-based company’s media properties. National Lampoon Incubation Studios will create content for TogaTV.com, NationalLampoon.com, National Lampoon Mobile, television network National Lampoon College, as well as branded motion picture, radio, DVD, CD and publishing properties. National Lampoon said it plans to collaborate with other production partners outside the company as well.



– PeopleSupport Inc.

reported fourth-quarter net income of $12.3 million (65 cents per share), compared with $3.3 million (18 cents) for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the L.A.-based provider of offshore business outsourcing rose 35 percent to $17 million from $12.6 million in the year-prior period.


The company expects first-quarter earnings of 10 cents to 11 cents per share on revenue of $20.5 million to $21 million.



– Semtech Corp.

reported fourth-quarter net income of $13.3 million (18 cents per share), compared with $12.1 million (16 cents) for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the Camarillo-based semiconductor maker rose 10 percent to $64.4 million from $58.4 million in the year-prior period.


The company expects first-quarter earnings of 13 cents or 14 cents per share on revenue that is 1 percent to 3 percent higher than that of the fourth quarter.
