The Apparel Industries Group for City of Hope has honored Richard Clareman, president of Self Esteem, and Sunnie S. Kim, president and chief executive of Hana Financial Inc., with the Spirit of Life Award. The award recognizes the pair's outstanding achievements as industry leaders and philanthropists.

The Westside Urban Forum has honored McCormack Baron Salazar, a developer of urban neighborhoods, with the Westside Prize for its success in developing and rebuilding diverse urban neighborhoods throughout the nation. The forum also honored the Los Angeles Public Library with the Westside Legacy Award for its establishment of the largest library building program in the U.S.

Award winners will be announced on June 27.
