Men’s Spending Boosts Apparel Sales

Men flocked to stores to buy suits and other tailored clothing last year, helping drive U.S. apparel sales up 4 percent overall, according to an industry study released on Tuesday.


Men spent almost $53 billion on apparel in 2005, up 5 percent from 2004, according to the study by retail research group NPD.
