Gas Prices Dip

The price of an average gallon of self-serve regular gas dipped slightly for the week ended Feb. 20, dropping 0.043 cents from the previous week to $2.507. Prices were up 0.310 cents from a year ago, according to the Energy Information Administration Statewide, prices dropped 0.049 cents to $2.473 per gallon.


Los Angeles was the most expensive city for gas, and California was the most expensive state.


The cheapest gas of the cities surveyed was in Denver, at $2.190 per gallon. The cheapest gas of the states surveyed was in Minnesota, at $2.189.
