– CurtCo Publishing

agreed to acquire Art & Antiques magazine from Trans World Publishing Inc. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Art & Antiques has a circulation of 105,000 paid subscribers. Dan Denton, president of CurtCo’s Gulfshore Division, will also assume the position of president of CurtCo’s newly formed Art & Antiques Division. The Art & Antiques staff will be based at the company’s New York headquarters and at CurtCo’s Atlanta office.


The acquisition for the Malibu-based publisher of the Robb Report includes ARTscottsdale, an international art show and also includes a custom publishing division that works in partnership with galleries and shows, including Antiques & Fine Art at the Armory, The Spring International Art & Antiques Show, ATLart and the Charleston International Antiques Show.

film library, Bloomberg News reported. Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein is arranging a $595 million five-year term loan with an interest margin of 1.375 percentage points over the London interbank offered rate. The bank is also organizing a $150 million five-year loan.


In March, Soros Strategic Partners LP and Dune Entertainment II LLC agreed to acquire all 59 DreamWorks live-action films released through Sept. 15, 2005 for $900 million. Soros also entered into an exclusive five-year agreement with Paramount to distribute the library. The sale is anticipated to close in April.



– Salem Communications Corp.

agreed to acquire Townhall.com, a Washington D.C.-based online source for conservative news. Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Founded in 1995, Townhall.com features content from more than 115 member groups and commentary from conservative writers. Townhall.com serves more than 1.2 million unique visitors and generates 12 million page views each month, Camarillo-based Salem said in a statement. The Christian broadcaster said the acquisition will help broaden the exposure and popularity of its talk radio hosts and its 34 radio stations.
