Rothstein Kass CPA has hired Mark C. Hutchison as tax principal. Hutchison was formerly a partner at accounting firm KPMG in Woodland Hills.


Rockwell A. Schnabel has been appointed to the board of Outsource Partners International Inc. Schnabel continues as an advisory director of Trident Capital and is a co-founder of the firm.


Architecture
RTKL Associates in Los Angeles has hired Steve Chung as principal for the retail/entertainment sector, Ellen Riingen as a designer for the health care sector and Mark Barajas for the residential sector. Chung was previously project architect with Morphosis Architects in Santa Monica; Riingen was job captain at MDA Johnson Favaro Architects & Urban Design in Culver City; Barajas previously served as project designer at MCG Architects in Irvine.


Austin Veum Robbins Partners has hired Darryl Yamamoto as director of its Los Angeles office Urban Studio. Yamamoto was previously a principal at RTKL Associates.


Banking & Finance
Financial Partners Credit Union has hired Lance Hauptmeier as director of programming and Kit Ho as director of accounting. Hauptmeier was formerly programming manager at Kinecta Federal Credit Union. Ho was vice president of finance at Chinatrust Bank (USA).


Broadway Financial Co. in Los Angeles has hired F. Glen Harvey as president and chief operating officer. Harvey was previously senior vice president of the Entertainment Group at Comerica Bank.


Citizens Business Bank has appointed Edward J. Mylett Jr. as executive vice president-chief credit officer. Mylett has served at the bank as senior vice president-regional manager and vice president-business financial center manager.


Consulting
Patrick Dougherty has joined PinnacleOne, a construction consulting firm, as West Coast regional business development director for the Los Angeles office. Dougherty was most recently executive director of business development for Fluor Corp. The company also hired Lawrence D. Hazzard, as director of transportation services for its Los Angeles office. Hazzard was previously a principal and senior vice president of Carter Burgess Inc.


Entertainment
Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment has promoted Jeanne Hobson to senior vice president of sales and distribution. Hobson was previously vice president of trade marketing.


Gemstar TV Guide International Inc. has promoted Tonia O'Connor to executive vice president of distribution. O'Connor was previously executive vice president of affiliate sales and marketing with the company.


Kathy Benjamin and David Gilison were promoted to senior vice president of Nielsen Entertainment's Home Entertainment and Interactive units, respectively. Benjamin and Gilison will continue in their positions as vice presidents of research and analysis.


Hospitality
The Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena has appointed Hans Schaepman to executive assistant manager of rooms division, and Samantha Telesford to spa director. Schaepman was the director of hotels operations for the Ritz-Carlton, Coconut Grove in Miami; Telesford was previously spa director for Sense Spa at Our Lucaya Beach & Golf Resort in the Bahamas.


The Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Century City has appointed David Horowitz as general manager and Robert L. Wentworth as director of sales and marketing. Horowitz was previously general manager at the hotel's location in Arlington, Virginia; Wentworth served as director of sales and marketing at the hotel's location in Huntington Beach.


BentleyForbes Hospitality Group LLC, a Century City-based hotel and resort property acquisitions and ownership company, has appointed Chris Pfohl as executive vice president, and Sarah Maxwell and Nina Puente as assistant vice presidents. Pfohl recently was vice president for development at InterContinental Hotel Group; Maxwell was previously a consultant with Maximum Consulting; and Puente was formerly the assistant vice president of office investments at BentleyForbes.


Yellowstone Club World LLC, a resort group, has appointed Dieter Huckestein as president and chief executive. Huckestein was formerly chairman and chief executive of Conrad Hotels.


Law
Armbruster & Goldsmith LLP, a land use law firm, has hired R.J. Comer as a partner. Comer was previously a partner at Allen Matkins Leck Gamble and Mallory LLP.


Claudio R. Chavez was named partner of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP's Los Angeles office in real estate practice. Prior to joining the firm, Chavez was partner with DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary U.S. LLP.


Davis Wright Tremaine, a national business law firm, has appointed Mary Haas partner-in-charge of its Los Angeles office. Haas was previously a partner at the firm.


Media
DirecTV Inc. has hired Derek Chang as senior vice president of strategy and development in DirecTV's Entertainment Group. Chang previously served as executive vice president of finance and strategy at Charter Communications.


Real Estate
Cushman & Wakefield has promoted Eric L. Olofson II to executive vice president of its Los Angeles West office. Olofson was previously an executive director.


Oakwood Worldwide, a property management company, has appointed Chris Ahearn as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. He was previously vice president of marketing, products and strategy for FedEx Kinkos.


Grubb & Ellis Co. has promoted Mano Leventakis to senior vice president and managing director of the firm's Ontario, Riverside and San Gabriel Valley offices. Leventakis was previously senior vice president with the office group.


Graebel, a relocation company, has promoted Kian Holstead to general manager in Los Angeles. Holstead was previously director of business development for the organization.


Retail
Dole Food Co. Inc. has promoted Peter Gilmore to vice president of Eastern Seaboard sourcing. Gilmore recently was vice president for business development of the company's Westlake Village outfit.


Technology
Fandango, an online movie ticketing service, has promoted Ted Hong vice president of marketing and product development. Hong was previously director of marketing for the company.


Live Nation, an L.A.-based content and distribution company, has hired John Vlautin as vice president of communications, and John Loken as senior vice president of tour marketing. Vlautin was founder of SpinLab, a public relations firm; Loken comes to the company from Ride Management.


John Gardiner has been appointed as chief financial officer of iRise, an El Segundo-based application definition software and services company. Gardiner was previously senior director of finance at Citrix Systems.


Northrop Grumman has appointed four vice presidents to its newly formed Technical Services Sector: Gregg Donley of systems support, George Petteys Jr. of strategic operations and planning, R. Michael Roberts of training and simulation, and David W. Werkheiser of life cycle optimization and engineering. Donley was recently president of technical services at the company's information technology sector; Petteys previously served as vice president and general manager of enterprise management in the mission systems sector; Roberts had served as vice president in the information technology sector; and Werkheiser had previously served as the deputy to the vice president in the integrated systems sector.

Jay Cooper, the head of Greenberg Traurig's entertainment practice in California, was named Entertainment Lawyer of the Year at Century City Bar Association's 38th Annual Installation Dinner & Awards Ceremony. Gail Migdal Title, managing partner at the L.A. office of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP and head of the firm's Entertainment Litigation Practice, was named Litigator of the Year. Wayne Levin, general counsel and secretary for Lionsgate, was named General Counsel of the Year. Robert Plotkowski, co-founder of Advisors LLP in Los Angeles, was named Real Estate Lawyer of the Year. Marc Cohen, chairman of the Business Reorganization and Creditors' Rights Group at Kaye Scholer's L.A. office, was named Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year.


The Los Angeles City Council passed a resolution officially congratulating the Los Angeles office of the architectural firm RTKL Associates Inc. for receiving the U.S. Department of Commerce's Export Achievement Certificate in January. The resolution, sponsored by Councilmember Jan Perry, also acknowledged the office's success in exporting design services to Asian markets since 1988.


Attorney Rod S. Berman, chairman of Jeffer Mangels Butler & Marmaro LLP's Intellectual Property Group, was recognized by the editorial board of Aspatore Books as a leader in international property law. The business publisher chose him to write an article for "Inside the Minds" a series of books geared toward senior level professionals and covering a variety of law related topics. Berman's article, featuring an insider perspective on issues of intellectual property law and litigation appears in "Inside the Minds: IP Litigation Best Practices."


The Software Council of Southern California recently announced the honorees for its 12th annual Software Industry Awards. Mitch Laskey, former chief executive of Jamdat Mobile and current senior vice president of EA Mobile, was awarded Software CEO of the Year.


Matt Coffin of Santa-Monica-based LowerMyBills.com was named Software Entrepreneur of the Year. Mark Friedman of Accurent Inc. in Santa Monica was named Software Developer of the Year. The Internet Company of the Year award went to PriceGrabber.com.


Nick Seierup, principal and design director of the Los Angeles office of Perkins+Will, has been honored with an elevation to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects for his professional achievement and contribution to architecture.
