– Blue Holdings Inc.

, the Commerce-based maker of denim jeans, licensed its Antik Denim brand to Titan Industries Inc. for women’s footwear. Under the binding term sheet, Titan will produce men’s and women’s footwear bearing the Antik Denim trademark. The three-year deal, renewable for another five years, covers shoes sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.


Titan, based in San Diego, makes and distributes footwear for other brands including J Lo, Betsey Johnson, Laundry by Shelli Segal and Joeyo.

said it expects third-quarter revenue to be at the high end of previous estimates of a 1 percent-to-5 percent increase from the second quarter, when the company posted record revenues of $50.6 million.


In a press release, the Westlake Village-based maker of discrete semiconductors said it expects third quarter gross margins to be comparable to second-quarter gross margins, which the company reported at 34.6 percent. In July, Diodes reported second quarter net income of $7.7 million, up from $6.1 million in the year-ago period.



– Earl Scheib Inc.

reported net income of $136,000 (3 cents per diluted share) for the first quarter ended July 31, compared with $594,000 (13 cents) in the year-ago period.


The Sherman Oaks-based automobile paint chain said net sales rose to $13 million in the first quarter from $12.7 million a year earlier. The company had seven fewer retail shops open in the most recent period. On a same-day basis, same-shop retail sales rose by 4.6 percent.



– Virco Manufacturing Inc.

reported net income of $6.1 million (46 cents per diluted share) for the second quarter ended July 31, versus $2 million (15 cents) for the year-ago period. Sales rose to $75.9 million from $68.8 million a year earlier. Virco, based in Torrance, makes furniture used in institutional settings such as schools, government facilities and convention centers.
