Northrop Grumman Corp. said on Wednesday it will team up with EADS in a bid to win the multibillion-dollar contract to build a new refueling tanker fleet for the U.S. Air Force.
The partnership is an effort to beat Boeing Co. in the competition to overhaul the Air Force’s aging tankers, which refuel fighter jets in flight. The contract could be worth $100 billion over 30 years.
