Oil Futures Trade Below $60

Crude oil futures traded below $60 a barrel Tuesday, as forecasts of warmer-than-usual weather in the United States further eased concerns about rising heating fuel demand.


Light sweet crude for December delivery fell 12 cents to $59.35 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange by afternoon in Europe. The contract settled Monday at $59.47 a barrel, down $1.11. In London, December Brent crude futures on the ICE Futures exchange fell 22 cents to $57.82 a barrel.
