Oil Slips After Supply Report

Crude prices slipped on Wednesday after the government released data that showed rising supplies of oil and gasoline, but hinted that a recent decline in demand was tapering off.


Light sweet crude for December delivery fell 10 cents to settle at $59.75 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Heating oil futures fell 2.21 cents to settle at $1.7829 a gallon, while gasoline futures dropped 3.45 cents to close at $1.5691 per gallon. Natural gas futures declined by 25.6 cents to $11.604 per 1,000 cubic feet.
