Shareholders Roy Disney and Stanley Gold on Monday sued the Walt Disney Co., claiming the board lied to shareholders about the company’s search for a chief executive to replace Michael Eisner.
The lawsuit, filed in Delaware Chancery Court, seeks to void the 2005 election of directors, force a new ballot and compel Disney to disclose information about the search that led to the selection of Robert Iger to replace outgoing chief executive officer Michael Eisner.
