The dollar surged to two-week highs against the euro on Monday, propped up by speculation the U.S. Federal Reserve may signal a more aggressive pace of interest rate rises at its meeting Tuesday.
By midday in New York, the euro was trading at $1.3162, down over 1 percent from late Friday levels.
