Morgan Stanley Chairman and CEO Philip J. Purcell, acknowledging that calls for his ouster have hurt the investment firm, said Monday he will retire as soon as a successor can be found.
The announcement came as Morgan Stanley also warned it expects its second-quarter earnings to be about 15 percent to 20 percent below last year’s second-quarter results.
