Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown, a division of Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., appointed Christopher M. Frank as managing director and client advisor in the Los Angeles office. Frank was most recently the market president for Bank of America. Michael J. Tusing and Michael T. Huntsman have also joined Deutsche as directors and client advisors. Tusing was previously the senior client strategist at Bank of America's Private Bank in Los Angeles and Huntsman was senior vice president and client advisor.

Metrocities Mortgage LLC, a residential mortgage lender headquartered in Sherman Oaks, appointed John W. Stewart as president, strategic initiatives. Before joining Metrocities, Stewart was managing director of strategic business development for Countrywide Home Loans.

Wescom Credit Union in Pasadena has promoted Sean Toranji to the new position of vice president of treasury. Toranji has managed the credit union's Treasury Department since 2002 and has been responsible for the company's investment portfolio.

Construction & Landscaping
Parsons Construction Group Inc., a Pasadena-based engineering and construction firm, appointed Andrew C. Albrecht as president and Lesley Wood as vice president in the life sciences division. Albrecht was most recently president and chief executive of RCI Construction Group Inc. Wood worked at Lonza Biologics as the director of planning, procurement, and logistics.

ValleyCrest Companies, a landscape business in Calabasas, named Peter Arkley to its board. Arkley is currently president and chief executive of Aon Construction Services Group, a construction insurance broker.

Interior Space International, the interior design division of A. Epstein and Sons International Inc. in Los Angeles, named Mark E. Bryant vice president and director of design. Bryant most recently worked as senior associate and regional design director for Gensler's Los Angeles office.

James Aldinger has been appointed to the California Costal Commission. Aldinger is an engineer, scientist, and manager at the Boeing Satellite Systems division in El Segundo and has been a Manhattan Beach City Council member since 2001.

City Controller Laura Chick appointed DeWitt Roberts as her chief deputy. Roberts was most recently the director of financial reporting.

Health Care
Molina Healthcare Inc., a managed care organization headquartered in Long Beach, appointed William P. Bracciodieta executive vice president and chief medical officer. Bracciodieta was most recently senior vice president and chief medical officer at Health Net Inc., a health insurance company headquartered in Woodland Hills.

El-Segundo-based Vantage Oncology Inc., a developer and operator of radiation oncology centers, named Samuel Hellman to the board. Hellman is currently the A.N. Pritzker Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology at the University of Chicago and an attending physician at the University of Chicago Hospital.

Van Etten Suzumoto & Becket LLP, a law firm in Santa Monica, has appointed Ian S. Landsberg as partner and chair of its bankruptcy practice group. Landsberg was previously a partner at Wolf Rifkin Shapiro & Schulman LLP.

Carroll Burdick & McDonough, a litigation and business law firm, has added Vicki L. Freimann as partner in its Los Angeles office. Richard Fannan has joined the firm as of counsel and Miguel Hernandez as an associate. They were previously with Leland Parachini Steinberg Matzger & Melnick.

Brown Winfield & Canzoneri Incorporated, a law firm in downtown L.A., has elected senior counsel Wayne Grajewski to shareholder. Before joining Brown Winfield in 2003, Grajewski was a partner with Arter & Haddon.

Media & Entertainment
L.A. Studios Inc., an audio post-production company, appointed Paula Arnett to the newly created position of executive producer for its Westside facility, Margarita Mix de Santa Monica. Arnett was previously executive producer at Moneyshots, a post-production facility.

Internet Gaming Entertainment recently appointed David D. Christensen as vice president of business development, Matthew P. Smith as senior vice president of finance and controller, and Heather Gore as vice president of marketing and communications. Christensen was most recently head of business development for Universal Interactive and Black Label Games, both divisions of Vivendi Universal Games. Smith had served as chief financial officer at American Vantage Media before joining IGE. Gore served as senior brand marketer at Yahoo!

Mandate Pictures, an L.A.-based independent film production and distribution company, has announced five new hires. Rob McEntegart is executive vice president, business affairs. Previously he was the senior vice president, business affairs for Intermedia Films. John Biondo was hired as vice president of business and legal affairs. He came from Infinity Media Inc., where he was vice president of business and legal affairs. Meredith Grindlinger becomes director of business and legal affairs. She joined Mandate from Yari Film Group LLC where she was counsel for business and legal affairs. Kelli Konop has been hired by Mandate to work as vice president of physical production. She was formerly a film producer working on projects such as "Bring It On Again." Finally, Mandate promoted Matthew Milam to story editor. He previously served as executive assistant to Mandate's head of production, Nathan Kahane.

Broadcast Music Inc. promoted Hanna Pantle to executive director, media relations. She will be stationed in Los Angeles and oversee the media relations teams in L.A., New York, and Nashville. She was most recently the senior director of media relations and new media relations.

Ikon Office Solutions, a document management systems and services company, named Mark Coyle as head of sales and service operations in the Southern California area. Coyle was most recently director of sales for Ikon's western region, which included 12 western states as well as Hawaii and Alaska.
