Lilly Sees Profit Topping Forecasts

Eli Lilly and Co. on Friday said 2006 earnings should top Wall Street forecasts on growing demand for its new drugs and stabilizing U.S. sales of its Zyprexa schizophrenia treatment.


The Indianapolis drugmaker said it expects 2006 earnings of $3.10 to $3.20 per share, excluding special items. That translates into growth of 8 percent to 12 percent over expected 2005 results, the company said in a release.
