CEO America Inc. named Jonathan Montgomery as an executive vice president. Montgomery was formerly a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Parsons Corp., a Pasadena-based construction and engineering company, named Charles A. Hansen vice president in its systems, defense and security division. Hansen was the assistant manager in the Department of Energy's waste disposition project at the Savannah River site. Parsons Construction Group Inc., a Parsons unit, named Thomas A. Donovan senior vice president and director of operations. He formerly served as vice president of construction and remediation of Parsons Corp.
The board of Los Angeles Community College named Dr. Steve Maradian president of Los Angeles City College. Maradian is vice president for government relations at the American University of Armenia.
Music production company MusicBox in Calabasas appointed Danielle Lindy director of client services. She was previously a freelance music consultant and producer with Finger Music in Los Angeles.
The Tennis Channel, based in Santa Monica, promoted Mike Kim to account director. He was previously account manager.
Ascent Media Creative Services Group in Santa Monica promoted Barbara Marshall to managing director of its Encore Hollywood post-production facility. Marshall was previously director of Encore Visual Effects in Hollywood. Tim Jacobsen has been chosen to fill Marshall's former position at Encore Visual Effects. Jacobsen was previously a visual effects producer at Encore Hollywood. Barry Goldscher has been promoted to director of operations at Encore Hollywood after serving as technical operations supervisor previously.
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed Dr. Sharon O'Connor of Encino to the California Board of Psychology. O'Connor has been a psychologist with a private practice for 17 years at the Cedar-Sinai Medical Towers and in Beverly Hills. The governor also named Thomas Erb of Studio City an alternate member of the Colorado River Board of California. He is the director of water resources for the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power.
Pacific Palms Resort in Industry Hills named Brad Buss as executive chef. He was most recently an executive chef at Loews Annapolis Hotel in Maryland.
Skousen & Skousen in Los Angeles hired Brian Cullen as an associate. Cullen was formerly the deputy city attorney for Hesperia.
