Sales of new U.S. homes fell at the sharpest rate in more than a decade in November, the government said on Thursday.
Sales of new homes tumbled 12 percent last month, the largest drop since a 23.8 percent fall in January 1994, to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.125 million units. But industry analysts said applications for new mortgages still were at healthy levels.
