Computer Sciences Corp., the third-largest U.S. computer-services company, won an extension of its information technology outsourcing contracts with General Dynamics Corp. said to be worth as much as $1.6 billion.

The orders run more than seven years, Computer Sciences said in a press release. The El Segundo-based company didn’t disclose details of the work for General Dynamics, the largest producer of armored vehicles for the U.S. military.

Computer Sciences manages General Dynamics’ data centers and computer systems under agreements signed in 1991 and widened in 1998. Computer Sciences also runs computers for General Dynamics’ Gulfstream Aerospace business and its Canadian subsidiary, and the companies work together on government contracts.
