George Minter became principal at the newly named public affairs consulting firm of Greer/Dailey/Minter in Los Angeles. He will oversee all client services. Minter was previously director of public affairs at Southern California Gas.

Banking & Finance

Franchelle Johnson was appointed vice president of the retail call center at First Federal Bank in Santa Monica. She will oversee training procedures and day-to-day operations. Johnson was most recently call center operations manager at Glendale Federal Bank. Also, Tracy Toia was promoted to vice president and manager of the Main Street office in Santa Monica. She will oversee all sales and operational integrity. Toia was previously branch manager. Also, Cristina Toranzo was named vice president of business banking. She will oversee cash management products and the small business banking sales unit. Toranzo was previously a senior consultant for Atlantic Data Services.

Michael Power was appointed vice president/portfolio manager at Howard Capital Management, a Los Angeles-based investment advisory firm. He will manage municipal bond portfolios. Power was previously a portfolio manager at RNC Capital Management.

Consumer Services

Andrew Butterbrodt has been appointed president and chief operating officer at Starving Students Inc., a Los Angeles-based moving and storage company. He will oversee all day-to-day operations. Butterbrodt was most recently president of Global Van Lines.


Mark Feldman has been appointed president and chief executive at Magna Entertainment Corp., a horse racing and wagering company in Arcadia. He will focus on growth, developing real estate assets and utilizing interactive media in sports wagering. Feldman was most recently executive vice president at E! Entertainment Television.

James Fino has been named executive producer of animation for Los Angeles-based, an online entertainment company. He will oversee the development and production of all new animated material. Fino was most recently animation manager for the Fox television show "King of the Hill."


Gina Harpur has been named president of Juanita's Foods, a manufacturer of Mexican food products in Wilmington. She will be responsible for all operations and development. Harpur was previously general manager.

Health Care


James West has been appointed chief operating officer at Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier. He will oversee all clinical aspects of the hospital. West was most recently director of hospital operations at the L.A. Medical Center.


Mariel Albrecht has been named senior vice president and treasurer of Hilton Hotels Corp. in Beverly Hills. She will oversee all corporate finance, treasury and cash management activities and raise capital for franchisees. Albrecht was most recently vice president of corporate finance.


David Halberstadter and Harrison J. Dossick have been named partners at Katten Muchin Davis in Los Angeles. Halberstadter focuses his practice on all areas of motion picture and television litigation and arbitration. Dossick specializes in litigation in the motion picture, television and music industries. Both were previously partners at Troop, Steuber, Pasich, Reddick & Tobey.

William H. Lancaster was named partner at Seyfarth Shaw in Los Angeles. He specializes in general business litigation. Lancaster was previously with Andrews and Kurth LLP.

Stuart A. Shanus has been named managing partner at Crosby, Heafy, Roach & May in Los Angeles. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property disputes. Shanus was most recently managing partner at the Century City office.


LaVada Heath was named vice president and general sales manager at Fox Sports Net West/West 2 in Los Angeles. She will oversee sales operations of the two regional sports networks. Heath was previously local sales manager at Fox Channel 11.

Kyle Sherman was promoted to senior vice president and director of national spot sales for Fox Sports Net. He will be responsible for national spot sales to regional cable networks. Sherman was previously in charge of western sales.

New Media

Marissa Andrada has been named vice president of human resources at Xdrive, a Santa Monica-based Internet storage and universal file access company. She will be responsible for recruiting, training and leadership development of new hires. Andrada was most recently vice president of human resources at Universal Studios.

Ronald B. Cushey was appointed chief financial officer and executive vice president at the Hollywood Stock Exchange. He will oversee financial and strategic management. Cushey was previously executive vice president and chief financial officer at the Harvey Entertainment Co. Also, Steven Lehrhoff has been named senior vice president and legal counsel. He will coordinate and supervise business and legal affairs. Lehroff was most recently senior vice president of business affairs at Ignite Entertainment, a Los Angeles-based independent film production and management company.

Mark Miller was promoted to senior vice president of dealer and industry relations at, an online provider of new automobiles and related products and services based in Culver City. He will be responsible for building and maintaining industry relations, overseeing transactions and managing supplier networks. Miller was previously vice president of dealer and industry relations.

Dmitry Radbel was named chief technology officer at Massive Media Group, a technology company that provides digital rights management and services to the entertainment and advertising markets. He will oversee all technology solutions and integration. Radbel was previously owner and president of TeleMedia Solutions.

Real Estate

Bill Banks has been named vice president of acquisitions at Watson Land Co., a Los Angeles-based industrial real estate developer. He will be responsible for identifying and securing development opportunities in Southern California. Banks was most recently vice president at EJM Development Co.

James H. Ida and Peter H. Monaghan have been named vice presidents of acquisition at Thomas Properties Group, a real estate investment, development and asset management firm in Los Angeles. Ida will oversee operations in the western region. He was most recently chief acquisitions officer at TriNet Corporate Realty Trust. Monaghan will supervise operations in the Eastern United States.

Allan Seelig has been appointed managing principal at Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services in Sherman Oaks. He will be responsible for all day-to-day operations. Seelig was previously vice president and general manager at Bailes and Associates Inc.

Robert R. Villapando was named vice president and western regional manager at WMC Mortgage Corp. in Woodland Hills. He will be responsible for managing the sales force and increasing sales production in the western region. Villapando was previously regional marketing director at GMAC/RFC. Also, Charles Almeida was named vice president and Midwest regional manager. He will be responsible for sales and for increasing sales production in the central region. Almeida was most recently central region manager at Aames Capital Corp. Also, James Assalley was appointed vice president and director of marketing. He will oversee the branding effort, creative concepts and trade show facilitation. Assalley was previously western region sales manager.
