Henry J. Kupperman was promoted to Western region managing director at Kroll Associates, a corporate investigations and security firm in Los Angeles. He specializes in conducting internal and intellectual property investigations and handling due diligence matters. Kupperman was previously managing director of the L.A. office. Also, Carl Genberg and Sergio A. Robleto were named co-heads of the firm's Los Angeles office. Genberg concentrates on due diligence, competitor intelligence and Internet investigations. Robleto focuses on corporate security and workplace violence. Both were previously associate managing directors.
Julie Worsham Bandini was appointed director of business development for Johnson Fain Partners, an architecture, master planning and interior design firm in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for building business in the working environments, entertainment and e-commerce, museums and biotechnology practices. Bandini was previously marketing manager for Swinerton & Walberg; in Los Angeles.
Konrad D. Hrehorowicz was named project designer at WWCOT Architects and Interiors in Santa Monica. He specializes in design of health care, educational, institutional, commercial and hospitality projects. Hrehorowicz was most recently an associate with LHA Architects.
Banking & Finance
James Boyd was appointed assistant vice president and branch manager for Sanwa Bank California in Beverly Hills. He will oversee sales, profitability, customer service and community outreach. Boyd was most recently assistant vice president and manager for Citibank in Temple City.
Kevin Campbell was named senior vice president of the commercial banking group at Western Financial Bank in Downey. He will be responsible for marketing and managing business development. Campbell was previously senior vice president of business banking at Bank of America in Los Angeles.
Philip Falese was named chief financial officer at Meridian Holdings in Los Angeles. He will oversee all day-to-day financial matters. Falese was most recently an independent consultant in strategic business development.
Martin M. Goodman was promoted to vice president of marketing at Los Angeles Federal Credit Union. He will be responsible for creating the marketing department's strategic plan and annual budget, and overseeing the business development team. Goodman was previously marketing manager.
James Espinosa was appointed manager of the interior construction and special projects group for Ray Wilson Co. in Pasadena. He will oversee pre-construction services, construction management, special purpose buildings, and commercial, medical and high-tech office construction in L.A. and Orange counties. Espinosa was most recently general manager with Swinerton & Walberg Construction.
Fernando Avila and Rachel Glaser were promoted to vice presidents of operations and technology at Disney Consumer Products in Burbank. Avila will oversee shared services infrastructure operations, developing Internet and media-asset management projects and standardizing worldwide information technology. He was most recently director of global technology operations. Glaser will oversee licensing operations and technology and be responsible for day-to-day operations and development of licensing strategy. She was previously director of global business operations. In addition, Steve Gilbert was promoted to vice president of finance and operations at Disney Interactive. He will continue to develop operational strategies. Gilbert was most recently director of finance and operations. Also, Thierry Braille was promoted to vice president and managing director of Disney Interactive Europe. He will be responsible for executing global strategies and managing business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Braille was previously managing director.
Terry A. Bonecutter was named president and chief executive at QueensCare, a charity providing health care to uninsured and low-income L.A. residents. He will oversee the health and faith partnerships, family clinics, pastoral care, and charitable divisions of the company. Bonecutter was previously chief operating officer of Queen of Angels-Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Also, Barbara Pulley was promoted to vice president and chief operating officer at QueensCare. She will be responsible for day-to-day management and administration. Pulley was most recently vice president of programs.
Steve Feely was promoted to senior vice president and chief marketing officer at Farmers Insurance Group in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for agency communications, sales and horizontal marketing. Feely was most recently vice president of field operations for the firm.
Brian O'Hara was promoted to president and chief executive of Fremont Compensation Insurance Group in Glendale. He will oversee all operations, including underwriting, claims and marketing. O'Hara was previously executive vice president of operations.
James R. Cairns and Philip L. Maloney were named partners at White & Case in Los Angeles. Cairns specializes in equipment leasing and finance, structured finance and cross-border transactions. Maloney concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, leasing and bank lending. Both were previously associates with the firm.
Karl Kime and Mark Lau were named partners at Peterson & Ross in Los Angeles. Kime practices general business litigation, product liability, construction defects and employment law. Lau specializes in toxic tort litigation. Both were previously associates with the firm.
Pamela Privett was named partner at Weston, Benshoof, Rochefort, Rubalcava and MacCuish in Los Angeles. She will focus on real estate and land development cases. Privett was most recently senior vice president, general counsel and secretary for LTC Properties.
Linda J. Retz was promoted to partner at Hoffman, Sabban and Watenmaker in Los Angeles. She specializes in estate planning and trust and probate law. Retz was most recently an associate with the firm.
Stuart Rice was named president of the Long Beach Bar Association. He will be responsible for setting the association's programs and policies for this year and will oversee community outreach and public education. Rice is a senior partner with Rice and Rothenberg in Long Beach.
Lisa Laky was promoted to senior vice president of regional ad sales at Fox Sports Net. She will direct all regional ad sales teams and resources in the Western region. Laky was previously general sales manager at Fox Sports Net West and West 2 in Los Angeles.
Christine Bucklin was appointed chief operating officer at CarsDirect.com in Los Angeles. She will oversee daily operations. Bucklin was previously an entrepreneur-in-residence at Idealab in Pasadena. Also, Debra Domeyer was named chief information officer. She will be responsible for internal information technology. Domeyer was most recently vice president and chief information officer at PG & E; Energy Services.
Rick Friedman was named vice president of news and production at 1KTV, an online TV-style news and entertainment network based in Woodland Hills. He will oversee the production team and assist with the launch of productions in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Friedman was most recently senior executive producer at KCOP-TV Channel 13 in Los Angeles.
Mark Goodman was appointed vice president of music programming at Soundbreak. com, an interactive Internet music site in West Hollywood. He will be responsible for developing the site's musical format and will oversee a team of disc jockeys. Goodman was previously an on-air personality on MTV and also worked as a music director or disc jockey for radio stations in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Eve Chambers was appointed regional director of marketing and corporate communications for Insignia/ESG's Los Angeles office. She will coordinate marketing services and internal communications for operations in California, Arizona and the Pacific Northwest. She was previously marketing services director of Trammell Crow Co.
Christopher K. Cooper was promoted to senior vice president of Western U.S. tenant representation at Jones Lang LaSalle in Los Angeles. He will advise large corporations on real estate occupancy and negotiating leases. Cooper was most recently a vice president of the firm.
Kirk R. Johnson was promoted to vice president of all real estate operations at Watson Land Co. in Carson. He will oversee asset management of industrial and office space, planning and construction of new facilities, and leasing of new and existing facilities. Johnson was most recently head of marketing and leasing for the firm.
