He specializes in operations and compliance of California government, special districts, redevelopment agencies, retirement systems and non-profit organizations. Greene was previously a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch.

Entertainment

Pauline Bohm has been promoted to senior vice president of international marketing at Pearson Television in Santa Monica. She will be responsible for developing and overseeing international marketing campaigns. Bohm was most recently vice president of worldwide marketing.

Ruth Ann Caruso was named vice president of creative affairs at the Jim Henson Co. in Hollywood. She will be responsible for developing network and cable programming and maintaining relationships with European broadcasters. Caruso was most recently vice president of creative affairs at Pearson Television.

Barbara Ann Chacon has been named vice president of production at CBS Stations Group in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for live production of all station programming. Chacon was most recently director of programming at KCBS-TV Channel 2.

Cliff O'Sullivan has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing and artist development at Universal Music and Video Distribution in Universal City. He will be responsible for all artist development, merchandising and marketing activities in North America. O'Sullivan was previously vice president of marketing and artist development.

Jeff Salmon has been promoted to president at Dick Clark Productions Inc. in Burbank. He will oversee the creative and client service teams and financial and administrative affairs. Salmon was previously executive vice president. Also, Dave Lee was promoted to vice president of production at Dick Clark Communications, the business communications unit of Dick Clark Productions. He will oversee new business development and will continue to manage all productions. Lee was previously director of production.

Ian Sutherland has been named senior vice president of international theatrical distribution and marketing at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in Santa Monica. He will oversee international release and publicity plans. Sutherland was most recently senior vice president of international marketing at United International Pictures in London.

Health Care

Rosalio J. Lopez was named chief medical officer at Adventist Health Southern California Medical Foundation in Los Angeles. He will oversee day-to-day operations and build relationships with physicians partners. Lopez was most recently senior vice president and chief medical officer at MedPartners.

High Tech

Terrell W. Anderson has been appointed senior vice president of strategy at Havas Interactive, a consumer PC software publisher in Torrance. He will oversee the orchestration, identification and execution of strategic opportunities. Anderson was previously senior vice president of business development at Internet Pictures Corp.

Joseph P. Noga has been appointed chief operating officer and chief financial officer at DES, a media technology solutions company in North Hollywood. He will oversee day-to-day financial and technical operations. Noga was most recently vice president and chief financial officer at Bekins Co. Also, Doug Mielke was named vice president of operations. He will be responsible for day-to-day operations of Avid services, imaging, encoding, general technical operations and facilities planning for corporate headquarters. Mielke was previously director of research and development of advanced technology at International Image.

Ken Paull has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing at Cash Technologies Inc. He will oversee domestic and foreign distribution of software. Paull was previously general manager of the retail division at VeriFone.

Ira J. Tabankin has been named chief strategic officer at Scanz Communications Inc., a Santa Monica-based manufacturer of wireless products. He will oversee strategic alliances and partnerships. Tabankin was previously director for North America at Cadence Design Services.

Insurance

Katy Kelly Lewis has been named assistant vice president at Lemac & Associates, a wholesale insurance broker and managing general agency in Los Angeles. Lewis was previously manager of financial services for the western and southwestern regions at Philadelphia Indemnity.

Law

Ian C. Ballon has been named partner in the entertainment and media unit at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips in Los Angeles. He specializes in e-commerce, new media and Internet-related law. Ballon was previously a partner at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner in Palo Alto.

Herbert Katz and Peter C. Bronson have been named partners at Kelly Lytton Mintz and Vann in Century City. Both will concentrate their practices on creditors' rights, bankruptcy and insolvency, business litigation and appeals, and commercial business disputes. Katz and Bronson were previously founding partners at Nelson Gullen Bronson & Katz.

David T. Peterson has been named partner at Morgan, Lewis and Bockius in Los Angeles. He will focus his practice on complex business and environmental litigation. Peterson was most recently a senior litigation partner at Troop, Steuber, Pasich, Reddick & Tobey.

James W. Obermeyer was appointed vice president of sales and lead management at Kern Direct, a direct response marketing management firm in Woodland Hills. He will oversee all sales and marketing efforts. Obermeyer was most recently president at Sales Leakage Consulting.

New Media

Ian B. Aaron has been appointed president and chief executive at TVN Entertainment, a digital content distributor and rights manager. He will oversee all day-to-day operations. Aaron was previously president of SoftNet Systems Inc.

Shawn Gold has been named co-president and chief strategic officer at eUniverse, a Los Angeles-based interactive entertainment network. He will oversee business strategy, customer acquisition and retention, business partnerships and advertising campaigns. Gold was most recently vice president of marketing and communications at WhatsHotNow.com.

Chris Hylen has been appointed senior vice president of marketing, strategy and business development at Business.com, a Santa Monica company that operates a directory and search engine focused on business. He will oversee all marketing, branding, public relations, strategy and business development activities. Hylen was most recently chief marketing officer at Stamps.com.

Alex Stevens was appointed vice president of production and interactive operations at Mixed Signals Technologies, a provider of advanced interactive TV technologies, services and content development in Culver City. He will oversee all production efforts and day-to-day operations. Stevens was most recently head of production at Discovery's Digital Networks and Advanced Television Group.

Patrick J. Duffy has been named vice president at Gary Kaplan & Associates, an executive search firm in Pasadena. He will develop and conduct senior-level executive searches. Duffy was previously director of human resources at Atlantic Richfield Co.

Real Estate

Charles Davis Jr. has been named vice president of real estate at the Macerich Co., a real estate investment trust in Santa Monica. He will oversee all properties in the Pacific Northwest region and select properties in the Intermountain region. Davis was most recently vice president of development at DDR Oliver McMillan.

Stephen D. Stein has been appointed first vice president at Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. in Encino. He will oversee all day-to-day operations. Stein was most recently regional manager.
