Janet Kirker has been appointed executive vice president of the interactive division at the Cimarron Group, a Hollywood-based producer of advertising and marketing campaigns for the entertainment industry. She will oversee production and day-to-day operations for entertainment and corporate clients. Kirker was previously vice president of project development at


Jonathan Watts has been named owner/principal at the Cunningham Group, an architectural design firm in Los Angeles. He will oversee museum, discovery center and zoo projects. Watts was most recently head of the entertainment development studio at the same firm.

Banking & Finance

Glen Dizon was named vice president of investment banking at Wedbush Morgan Securities in Los Angeles. He will oversee department expansion and will focus on the health care industry. Dizon was previously manager of corporate finance at Atlantic Richfield Co.

Eric V. Johnson has been appointed senior vice president at Broadway Federal Bank in Los Angeles. He will oversee all retail banking operations. Johnson was most recently a senior vice president at Home Savings of America.


Curt Doty has been promoted to executive vice president at Pittard Sullivan, an entertainment marketing communications company in Culver City. He will oversee the product, process and structure of the broadcast group. Doty was most recently creative director, a title he continues to hold.

Rick Hinton was named vice president of marketing at Technifex Inc., a Valencia-based design and production company that specializes in creating special effects for live audiences, show action systems and other high-tech entertainment technologies. He will oversee all marketing efforts. Hinton was most recently creative director of the digital theater division at Evans & Sutherland.

Gary M. Robinson has been promoted to executive vice president of business and legal affairs at Granada Entertainment, USA in Brentwood. He will oversee all domestic business, financial and legal operations. Robinson was previously senior vice president of business and legal affairs.

Health Care

Deborah Cordano has been named vice president of major gifts and campaign director at the Los Angeles Orthopaedic Hospital Foundation. She will oversee strategic planning and developmental efforts. Cordano was previously assistant vice president of the engineering programs at USC, Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State Long Beach.


Paul Leclerc has been named executive assistant manager at Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel. He will oversee all room operations and systems. Leclerc was previously director of rooms at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver.


Barry S. Glaser has been named partner at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps in Los Angeles. He specializes in business, real estate and bankruptcy litigation. Glaser was most recently a partner at Resch, Polster, Alpert & Berger.

Norbert M. Seifert has been named partner at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal in Los Angeles. His practice will focus on real estate investment, development and finance, and capital transactions. Seifert was most recently senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary at Imperial Credit Commercial Mortgage Investment Corp.

Amanda Susskind was named partner at Weston, Benshoof, Rochefort, Rubalcava & MacCuish in Los Angeles. She specializes in public law and land use. Susskind was most recently a partner at Richards, Watson & Gershon.


Dennis Ammon has been promoted to president at Impressions, a Los Angeles-based manufacturer of women's sportswear. He will oversee all day-to-day operations. Ammon was previously executive vice president of sales and marketing.


Matthew King has been named vice president of strategic planning at BPI Communications Film Group in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for business development of trade publications. King was most recently international executive editor at the Hollywood Reporter.

New Media

Walter Buttkus has been named director of Southern California sales at PureMarkets Corp., an online commercial equipment finance company in Los Angeles. He will oversee all sales efforts. Buttkus was previously vice president and senior account manager at GE Capital in Beverly Hills.

Stephen M. DuBose has been appointed vice president of planning and corporate development at WebVision Inc., an e-business solutions provider in Torrance. He will oversee planning for business operations, research and development, administration and corporate development. DuBose was previously chief operating officer and chief financial officer at the Anderson DuBose Co.

Bruce Elbert has been appointed executive vice president and president of Asian operations at eSat Inc., a broadband Internet service provider in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for strategic development, project management, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate joint venture opportunities. Elbert was most recently director at Galaxy Systems.

Patrick McCabe has been named president of advertising sales at Phase2Media, an Internet sales and marketing company in Los Angeles. He will oversee all advertising sales in Southern California. McCabe was most recently director of West Coast sales at Total Sports.

Mary Price has been named vice president and general merchandising manager at in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for facilitating relationships between apparel manufacturers and production wardrobe designers. Price was previously vice president and regional manager at Bloomingdale's.

Gregory Thomas has been appointed vice president and dean at R35 edu, an online Web communications design school in Santa Monica. He will be responsible for curriculum development, faculty procurement and overall direction. Thomas was previously acting chair of the graphic design department at Art Center.

Real Estate

Daniel Bothe and Richard Davis have been promoted to co-chief financial officers at Arden Realty Inc. in Los Angeles. They will oversee financial functions, reporting and information systems, investor relations and capital market strategy. Both Davis and Bothe were previously senior vice presidents and will retain those titles. Also, Andrew J. Sobel has been named executive vice president. He will oversee corporate strategy, allocation, investor relations and technology initiatives. Sobel was most recently president at

Arthur Buser has been promoted to executive vice president at Jones Lang LeSalle Hotels, a hotel investment banking services group. He will be responsible for hotel asset management, equity and debt marketing at the Los Angeles office. Buser was previously senior vice president. Also, John Strauss was promoted to vice president of the Los Angeles branch. He will oversee underwriting and property marketing for transactions. He was previously an associate.

Donald W. Kelly Jr. has been named chief financial officer at Haagen Co., a Torrance-based developer of retail properties. He will be responsible for financial management and property management. Kelly was previously chief financial officer at Watson & Associates in Seal Beach.
