was named portfolio manager and vice president for Bankers Trust Private Banking in Los Angeles. She will be responsible for managing investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals. Boland was previously portfolio manager at Scudder Kemper Investments.

Bret Moore Eric Besner

were named vice presidents at Musicblitz, a Los Angeles music company that provides funding and resources for artists to record singles for online distribution. Moore will be responsible for product development and was most recently general manager of the merchandising group at Ticketmaster. Besner will oversee business development and legal affairs and was previously associate general counsel and senior director of business affairs at e4L.

Karen Randall

was promoted to executive vice president and general counsel at Universal Studios in Universal City. She will continue to oversee all legal operations and will be responsible for labor relations, government affairs and oversight of the health, safety and environment department. Randall was previously senior vice president and general counsel.

Spike Seldin

was appointed president of the film and television division of Top Cow Productions, a Los Angeles comic book publisher. He will be responsible for production. Seldin was most recently vice president of original programming at Turner Network Television.

was appointed president of AllHealth, the Los Angeles-based for-profit subsidiary of the Healthcare Association of Southern California (HASC). He will oversee the provision of security services, licensing and accreditation compliance consulting and other services to area health care providers. Cochran was most recently chairman of HASC's Hospitals and Health Facilities Council Board.

Geoffrey Stevens

was named vice president of business development at Acacia Research Corp., a Pasadena company that develops and operates technology-related businesses. He will be responsible for forming strategic alliances and bringing in new investments. Stevens was most recently director of product development at Go.com.

Michael Kilty

was named vice president of information technology at iBoost.com, a Los Angeles-based network of sites offering business and Web-development tools. He will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of the portal's Internet and network architecture and Web site acquisitions. Kilty was most recently director of Internet services and information security at Warner Music Group.

Jim McGovern

was appointed president and general manager of Business.com, a business-to-business Internet service in Santa Monica. He will oversee day-to-day operations. McGovern was previously chief technology officer at Ticketmaster Online-CitySearch.
