Perkowitz + Ruth Architects Inc. has named five employees to executive positions at the firm. Peter Paszterko, design manager, becomes a senior associate. Those named associates are Don Grainger Yong Heng, Keith Mericle, and Vasilis Papadatos.
John Quiter has been named president of Cunningham Group. In addition to being responsible for day-to-day operations, he is developing an education studio in the Marina del Rey office. Quiter was formerly vice president and chief financial officer.
Bruce Toman has been promoted to division manager of the Los Angeles architecture and engineering group at Daniel, Mann, Johnson, & Mendenhall. He will be responsible for overseeing all of the projects, operations, and business development activities. Toman has been with the firm for two years.
Max Williams has been promoted to associate at Rothenberg Sawasy Architects Inc. He is now responsible for participating in defining corporate direction, business development and overall firm leadership. Williams has been with RSA since 1994.

Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin has promoted three employees to the position of managing director. Marjorie Bowen is the national director of the fairness opinion practice. Andrew Miller is the national director of the distressed company mergers and acquisitions practice. Martin Sarafa is a co-managing partner for the newest private equity fund of the company.
Optical Research Associates has named five staff members to executive-level positions. Kevin Thompson becomes vice president of optical engineering services. David Brown has been promoted to vice president of marketing and customer service. Gary Atkinson has been named vice president of finance and administration, while also remaining chief financial officer. Matthew Rimmer has been selected chief scientist, while continuing his role as director of software development. Mark Kahan has been promoted to chief electro-optical systems engineer, while retaining the position of director of electro-optical systems engineering.
Joseph D'Arco has been appointed senior vice president of business development and licensing at Alpha Therapeutic Corp. He will coordinate product development and licensing activities for Alpha as the company expands its existing biological products portfolio and develops new pharmaceutical products. Previously, D'Arco was executive vice president of law and administration at BKP Biologicals.
Audrey Finci has been promoted to executive vice president of Walt Disney Art Classics and Disney Direct Marketing. She will head worldwide operations of the two businesses, which were integrated in 1998. Finci joined Disney Consumer Products in 1988 as director of group finance.
William Plant has been named president of the digital division of Pacific Title/Mirage Studio Inc. He will be responsible for the supervision of all production. Also, Adam Howard has joined the company as visual effects supervisor and Andrew Tucker has been appointed head of production of the digital division.
Jordan Sollitto has been promoted to senior vice president of promotions and studio stores marketing for Warner Bros. Consumer Products. He will be responsible for the marketing efforts of the Warner Bros. Studio Stores as well as promotional tie-ins and sales promotion activities. Sollitto previously served as vice president of promotions and branded foods for the consumer products division.
Jim Warren has been promoted to chief operating officer of BRC Imagination Arts. Warren joined BRC in 1993.
Gracia Waverly has been promoted to director of channel operations for E! Entertainment Television. She will be responsible for all fulfillment, production and services. Also, Dan Hoskins has been promoted to director of client services. He will be responsible for overseeing the fulfillment of programming and support materials for more than 80 international distribution clients. In addition, Naomi Shibuya has been named director of finance and planning. She will oversee the financial planning, tracking and development of international businesses.
Timothy Carmack has been appointed vice president and chief financial officer at Huntington Memorial Hospital. Previously, Carmack was vice president and chief financial officer at Good Samaritan Hospital.
William Hawkins has joined the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co. as general agent for the company's Los Angeles agency. He will be responsible for recruiting and developing producers in the greater Los Angeles and Orange county areas. Most recently, Hawkins served as general agent for New England Financial.
Glen Smith has been named partner in the Los Angeles office of Baker & Hostetler LLP. He concentrates his practice in media law representing publishers, broadcasters, television producers and Internet content providers. Also, Dennis Wilson has been named partner in the Beverly Hills office of the firm. He concentrates his practice in intellectual property law.
Bryan Austin has joined Yipinet LLC as vice president of sales. He will oversee all of the corporate sales for the company. Previously, Austin was an executive with NETg, a subsidiary of Harcourt General Inc. In addition, Mike Roggero has joined as executive vice president of business development and planning. Prior to joining, Roggero was with Walt Disney Co.
Jim Moloshok has been appointed president of Warner Bros. Online. Previously, he served simultaneously as senior vice president for Warner Bros. corporate marketing and advertising services and senior vice president for Warner Bros. Online. Also, Jim Banister has been appointed executive vice president. He will oversee strategic initiatives for Warner Bros. Online. In addition, Jeff Weiner has been named vice president of planning, development and administration. He will oversee financial analysis, strategic planning and business development.
Josh Rose has been promoted to creative director for the Los Angeles office of iXL Inc. His responsibilities will include leading new business pitches and servicing selected ongoing accounts, including Sony Electronics and The Wherehouse.
Ira Rubenstein has been named vice president of marketing for Columbia TriStar Interactive. His duties will still focus on the online marketing of feature films. Rubenstein has been with CTI since 1996. Also, Tim Chambers has been promoted to director of technology. As head of technology and production, he will manage the overall Web production efforts as well as supervising the technology arena for CTI. Also, Wyndham Chow has joined as art director. He will be responsible for managing the creative development of the internal design team and for liaisons with external developers. In addition, John Matra has been appointed director of business affairs. He is responsible for managing all business and legal affairs for the firm, both internally and externally.
NingNing Yu has been named vice president of engineering for Net Effect Systems. She will be responsible for the efforts of the company to develop, test and produce software that helps companies utilizing e-commerce sales channels create customer satisfaction. Prior to joining, Yu was vice president of engineering at Vertel.
Jim Savas has been promoted to vice president and executive publisher of the action sports group at Petersen Publishing. His responsibilities will include overseeing the operations of Surfer, Snowboarder, Powder, Bike, Inline, Box and diving and travel-related publications. Most recently, Savas was group publisher of the automotive performance group.
Gordon Naccarato has been appointed executive chef at Le Colonial in West Hollywood. Naccarato is the former owner/chef of Gordon's in Aspen.
Bob Paine has joined the management team of IHOP Corp. as director of field marketing. He will oversee eight regional marketing managers while directing field marketing activities, which include the company's media planning and buying function. Most recently, Paine served as senior vice president of marketing for Heartland Automotive.
