Westwood Amenities

As an alumnus of UCLA and store manager of Macy’s Westwood, I strongly support Village Center Westwood. It will revitalize the Village in a number of ways, particularly through the valuable amenities it will provide all of Westwood.

Westwood today is struggling to survive. Fortunately, there are positive things happening in the Village, such as the Farmer’s Market, the new Broxton parking structure, and the new streetscape. However, these changes are not enough to bring people back to Westwood. We need to continue positive growth and change.

Village Center Westwood promises to bring community-serving resources to Westwood Village in addition to cultural amenities. With a community supermarket, a full-service drugstore and a public library, residents and business people will have amenities Westwood currently lacks.

With all these new customers coming into Westwood, they will need somewhere to park. Not only will Village Center Westwood be able to park all its customers in its own parking structure, it will have hundreds of extra parking spaces for customers from all of Westwood’s businesses. Customers like free parking, and want to know that when they come into Westwood, they will have a place to park without paying an exorbitant amount.

Village Center Westwood will participate in the Village Parking Program, which means Westwood customers will know where they can park two hours for free and patronize the Village.
