LA500 2026: Spencer Rascoff

Spencer Rascoff

Chief Executive
Match Group

Spencer Rascoff became the chief executive of dating app conglomerate Match Group in 2025, taking over brands like Hinge, Tinder and OkCupid. He also appointed himself as the chief executive of Tinder, a West Hollywood-based company whose trajectory had taken a nosedive. Tinder, a first-mover in the dating app space, was one of the worst-performing apps under the company’s umbrella when Rascoff took hold of it. Under Rascoff, Tinder implemented new AI features to bolster safety and improve conversation for a Gen Z audience. In February, the company’s guidance for 2026 was forecasted to be between $3.41 billion and $3.54 billion as the company spends resources on improving Tinder’s standing.
