Subramaniam, the dean of the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics at Cal State – Northridge. Before that, he was an engineer for the National Semiconductor in Malaysia, his home country, before he decided to pursue a career and life in the U.S. Armed with a degree in physics, he moved to Minnesota to study business, eventually receiving a doctorate in accounting. He was a professor at several universities across multiple countries, including China. His research is focused on management incentives, executive compensation and corporate governance. Under his leadership at CSUN, Subramaniam has developed new programs including a major and minor in business analytics.
