Olenick is the president and chief executive of the Child Care Resource Center. In the roles, which he took on in 2003, he oversees the CCRC’s programs and services provided to children and families. He also manages a $750 million budget and staff of 1,300. Under his leadership, the CCRC saw its budget increase $100 million last year and is expected to increase $80 million in 2025. Olenick is the past president of Child Care Aware of America, the California Child Care Resource & Referral Network and the Child Care Alliance of Los Angeles. He was also a governor’s appointee to the California State Advisory Council on Early Learning and Care and an appointee on the Speaker of the Assembly’s Blue-Ribbon Commission on Early Childhood Education.
