Jeff Skoll is chairman of Participant Media, the film company he founded in 2004 that has produced films such as Academy Award winners “Spotlight” and “An Inconvenient Truth” as well as the Oscar-nominated “Food Inc.” Participant’s “A Fantastic Woman” received the Oscar for best foreign language film. Billionaire Skoll was the first full-time employee and president of eBay, where he developed the company’s inaugural business plan and helped lead its initial public offering and the creation of the eBay Foundation. He has created a portfolio of philanthropic and commercial enterprises that includes the Skoll Foundation, Skoll Global Threats Fund and Capricorn Investment Group. Skoll, who is No. 22 on the Los Angeles Business Journal’s list of Wealthiest Angelenos, has an estimated net worth of $3.6 billion.
