THE LATEST: Turner is a partner in Kirkland & Ellis Intellectual Property Practice Group. His broad IP practice includes patent and trade secret litigation and intellectual property transactions.
BACKGROUND: Turner represents clients in complex commercial and intellectual property disputes in federal courts, as well as in U.S. International Trade Commission, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and domestic and international arbitrations. His practice areas are media and entertainment technology, software, telecom, semiconductor, biotechnology and life sciences. Before attending law school, Turner worked as a software engineer. He also handles patent and trade secret litigations and contested patent office proceedings, particularly inter partes review, from prelitigation to trial and appeal. Turner has been repeatedly appointed to the Judicial Elections Evaluations Committee for the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He has a BS in computer engineering and computer science from USC.
