UCLA Strikes $38M Naming Rights Deal With Wescom Credit Union for Basketball Pavilion
Pauley Pavilion

UCLA and Wescom Credit Union have agreed upon a 10-year, $38 million partnership that will rename the school’s basketball arena from Pauley Pavilion to the Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion presented by Wescom.

A portion of the $38 million in funds will be designated towards persevering and improving the Edwin W. Pauley Pavilion, which opened its doors in 1965. With Wescom becoming the official presenter of the basketball arena, there will be signage on the outside of the facility that marks the official name change.

“Wescom has served Southern California communities for nearly 85 years, and we’re thrilled to deepen our relationship with UCLA in a significant way,” Darren Williams, president and chief executive officer of Wescom Credit Union, said in a statement.

This partnership further builds upon the existing relationship of the Pasadena-based credit union and the university, naming the credit union as the exclusive banking partner for the UCLA Campus Life program, the UCLA Alumni Association, UCLA Athletics and the Rose Bowl

The agreement also allows Wescom to provide a financial education platform to UCLA faculty and student-athletes of UCLA, as well sponsor a “Financial Wellness Program” for incoming students.

“This partnership establishes a comprehensive platform for financial education at UCLA that will equip Bruins to lay the foundation for a long-term, positive financial future, and we are grateful to UCLA’s administration for helping us further this mission,” Williams said.
