Steven Roth, together with his brother Robert, owns World Oil Corp. and its affiliated entities, which comprise one of California’s largest privately held family of companies, including World Oil Recycling, a leading recycler of used motor oil and antifreeze; World Oil Refining, the largest producer of asphalt products in Southern California; and World Oil Environmental Services, the largest environmental services business in the Western United States. Roth was previously one of the original founding partners of Creative Artists Agency and has produced several motion pictures, including “Scrooged,” “Gladiator” and “Last Action Hero.” Roth has served concurrently as a board member of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Through the Steven F. Roth Family Foundation, Roth and his family have made significant contributions to leading institutions, including LACMA, Wilshire Boulevard Temple and its schools, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Music Center of Los Angeles and Special Olympics. He is also a supporter of inner-city L.A. charities, such as Meals on Wheels and Big Brothers, and is a member of the Watts Walk of Fame.
