Michael Ritchie is artistic director of Center Theatre Group, one of the largest and most active theater companies in the nation, which is known for the award-winning productions it stages at the Ahmanson Theatre and Mark Taper Forum in downtown Los Angeles and Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City. Ritchie took over the nonprofit theater company in 2005 from founding artistic director Gordon Davidson. In his 13 seasons at Center Theatre Group, Ritchie has produced seven American premieres and more than 40 world premieres. Ritchie previously oversaw the Williamstown Theatre Festival in Massachusetts. He got his start in theater in New York.
