Latham & Watkins

Jeff Greenberg is the managing partner of Latham & Watkins’ Los Angeles office. Greenberg focuses his practice on representing institutions and private equity sponsors, as well as public and private companies, in connection with all phases of the development and financing of power, oil refinery, ethanol, petrochemicals, fertilizer, telecommunications and other infrastructure projects. Greenberg is frequently recognized by various trade publications for his work in the development and financing of energy and natural-resource projects. In 2014 he helped energy giant Sasol Ltd. orchestrate a multibillion-dollar financing deal to construct a petrochemical facility in Louisiana. He is a former member of the firm’s executive committee and was previously vice chairman of the United States Finance Department.

What was your proudest moment?

Pretty much anything my kids do.

What is your alma mater?

JD, Northwestern University School of Law; BA, University of Southern California

What is your next project?

My oldest child will be a senior in high school starting this fall. The whole “college thing” is definitely the next big personal project. On the work front, I am probably most excited about working on a large petrochemical facility development in the Midwest – very complicated and interesting.

Who is your hero?

I’m going to cheat and give you two: My late grandfather and Ronald Reagan

What do you like best about Los Angeles?

Assuming I can get there (you know my least favorite thing about LA – traffic), I love the diversity. I love how you have so many options to do so many different things with so many different types of people. I love being at the beach, I love going to Dodgers games, I love our music choices, I love our food options, I love our hills, and I love how I can be in the city during the day and capture a more rural life in Calabasas at home that night.
