What was your proudest moment?

I can’t point to one “proudest moment of my life” as there are many, but what I’m most proud of is seeing my children and step-children grow up to be responsible, caring adults. The thought that I had some part in the people they’ve become makes me extremely proud.

What is your alma mater?

San Diego State University – 1982 graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance

What is your next project?

Professionally, my next project is continuing to build an elite middle-market commercial banking team that covers the greater Los Angeles area by hiring the best of the best, with a continued focus on providing outstanding customer service from a holistic approach. From a community service perspective, as chairman of the board of the Boys & Girls Club of the West Valley, a significant increase in personal and corporate donors, as well as continued expansion of the number of kids we serve with an expanded footprint of facilities to serve them.

Who is your hero?

My hero? There’s only one answer to that — my parents. They sacrificed a lot for me and my three siblings to ensure we knew we were loved and our needs would be met, although they were divorced. They both gave me the freedom to be myself and to go after whatever it was I wanted. They always provided me with whatever guidance they could, if I asked.

What do you like best about Los Angeles?

Originally a Northern California native, I have now been a part of Los Angeles, and its surrounding communities, for the past 10 years. The diversity of its people and the beauty of its landscape is what I enjoy the most about Los Angeles. No matter what your interests are, you are only a short distance away from the city life, mountains, ocean or desert.
