David Carter served as founder, president and chief executive of Vertical Technologies, Thoughtstar, and S5 Wireless. In addition, he served as an EIR for Wasatch Venture Fund, now Epic Ventures. He is one of the founders of Amplify.LA. Zuma creates companies from the idea stage to eventual launch as an independent entity. Carter has funded and mentored numerous companies including Cerberian, Zorch, Oakley Networks, medsource, Celtek, Caplinked, Style Saint, and Shape Security. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Weber State University.
