The single-engine, five-seater is the Duluth, Minn.-based company’s initial foray into the jet market, and its $2 million price tag also has turned some heads, with 600 orders stacked up and production just begun. The skinny on the waiting list indicates the air field in Santa Monica and other general aviation facilities might be a good spot for glimpsing celeb fliers, with Angelina Jolie, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Ken Griffey Jr. – who’s reserved Vision Jet #24 to match his retired number with the Seattle Mariners – and Hewlett Packard CEO Dion Weisler all said to be signed up. … Anyone else notice that VidCon co-founder Hank Green has reached more than 80% of a $300,000 goal for an Indiegogo.com crowdfunder on a proposed PodCon? Plans call for the podcasting convention to debut in Seattle this December.
