SoCalGas Pleads Innocence in Leak Case

SoCalGas pleaded not guilty Wednesday to misdemeanor criminal charges stemming from the months long gas leak near Porter Ranch that led thousands of residents to relocate.

If convicted, the company could be fined up to $1,000 per day for air pollution violations and up to $25,000 for each of the days it didn’t notify state emergency authorities of the leak, according to the AP.
