Southern California Gas Co. intends to resume operations at its shuttered Aliso Canyon storage field as soon as late summer, reports the Los Angeles Times. The field has been closed since last October’s massive gas leak which forced thousands of nearby residents to flee their homes. The plan is to resume injecting natural gas using wells that will have undergone a full range of testing for risks of failure.
