The White House said Saturday it would intervene in stalled labor talks at West Coast ports, sending Secretary of Labor Tom Perez to meet with the Pacific Maritime Association and the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and urge them to complete a new contract and avoid further slowdowns, the Wall Street Journal reports.
