There is still a month left in the year, but Universal Studios already has had a bigger year at the box office than any studio in history.

According to the most recent rankings of gross studio profits by Box Office Mojo, Universal has taken in $2.35 billion in domestic ticket sales with 24 percent of the market share. The studio has already surpassed former record holders, including Warner Bros.’ $2.1 billion in 2009, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The studio, which has produced blockbusters including “Jurassic World,” “Fifty Shades of Gray,” and “Fast and Furious 7,” had approximately $1 billion in domestic ticket sales at a similar point last year.

“Jurassic World,” which generated more than $652 million, had the biggest opening weekend of all time when it premiered in June.
